Workshop | Audition CDSH - Contemporary Dance School Hamburg
Javier Báez, director of CDSH, and Fernando Domínguez, director of FDR Dance, will teach an intensive course in San Luis Potosí, Mexico on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, 2025.
This course is aimed at dancers in training, students, recent graduates, professionals and performing artists interested in exploring the style of CDSH – Contemporary Dance School Hamburg.
In addition, those wishing to apply for the CDSH professional study programme will be able to be assessed during the course without having to travel to Europe.
If you are not interested in joining the CDSH, but would like to take the course as training/updating, you are welcome.
Ages:
1. Only take the course as training for those 14 years and older
2. For audition age range 17 to 26 years.
CDSH – Contemporary Dance School Hamburg is an official school of contemporary dance and the only one of its kind in Northern Germany. Its three-year professional training focuses on contemporary and modern techniques, improvisation, composition and classical ballet.

- 60 min. Improvisation with Dir. Javier Báez
Sunday, April 13: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
- 90 min. Ballet with Director Javier Báez
- 90 min. Contemporary with Fernando Dominguez
Those interested in auditioning will perform a 2-minute solo in the last hour. Details will be sent to you once you register.
Note: We chose these times to reduce your lodging costs, allowing you to travel early on Saturday, stay one night, and return after the course.

Cost
$1,600 Mexican pesos for the total 7 hours of class.

Those who decide to audition will start their study programme in August 2026 in Hamburg, Germany. This will allow them time to prepare their visa. If they wish to start in August 2025, they must inform them during the audition.
